I assume it's happening on more than one DVD, so we can eliminate a bad disk as the problem. Why my DVD-rom, after changing to region 1, the quality is better. There is no chance to change DVD-Rom region code in Win98.

When you click on it, the "general" tab displays various info about your Mpact setup, including the DVD Region. My listing said "DVD Region : Not Enabled". Not good.
